| Tom | Re: '70 SR AB763: bias circuit Dave- maybe that amp was bought new in 1970, but from what you're describing it probably wasn't made in 1970...the speakers are dated from '67, the AB763 circuit lasted just into '68, and many amps that were early revisions had a tube chart from one model and circuit design from the next (i've got an AA864 labelled bassman that's electronically an AB165). I'd say you got one just on the cusp (early 68?)...is there a date stamp (two letters) on the tube chart? Tom |
