I have exchanged letters with Randall Smith about the design of their reverb circuit in the Caliber series amps. I wouldn't trade my .50 caliber with custom built Theile port cab for anything. I was merely corroborating the fact that the older .22 caliber is a pain in the ass to work on. I am sure Mr. Smith would agree with this statement, because they soon changed production so that all components are now on top of the circuit board. Mesa makes great amps period. Mark
