andyfuchs | Re: 6AU6 to 12AX7 replacment If you have a weak or leaky power supply filter cap anywhere, the first stage will show this exact symptom. Check all filters by putting a new (known good) cap on each. The bad one(s) will cause hum to reduce or go-away pretty clearly. |
