Fender 2.7 meg /2-27pf in series

Fender 2.7 meg /2-27pf in series
a while back I read with interest someone who  
changed the mixer resister on there Fender reverb  
amp from a 3.3 meg bypassed by a 10 puff cap  
to if I recall correctly a 2.7 meg bypassed by  
2 of 27 puff caps or effectively 13.5 puff  
Do I have the values correct and how does this  
mod sound?
