Thanks for the info Richie. Still, it sounds to me like you added the bypass caps at both V1A and V1B. Correct?

So, by doing this and adding the cathode bypass caps I guess some of the gain is increased at the front end, but not so much NFB is (re)introduced later in the circuit?
