| Richie | Re: Pro Jr. Questions? Well, first i don't think as them being my mods, since this can be used on a lot of different type amps. I added the 4uf bypass caps.I didn't want to use a very big cap here.. cause these little boogers already have pretty good gain to them. Since it did add some gain .. i changed the feedback resistor to give it a little more clean room .. so you can turn up some before it gets too mushy. It sounded great around 7.. Alot of people.. and i would too, if it were my amp. put in a pot to vary the bias. But i used a sub box to get what i wanted.. and changed the resistor to match the bias for the tubes i was useing. And for some info.. these amps aren't hard to remove the board.. so easy to unsolder from the back side and change them like they sould be. I put the caps on the resistors before i put the resistors in the board.A couple of things i do like to change. and have seen many come in with problems. Is the power resistor.. I put in a 5 watt. And be sure to check or resolder the ribbon cable connections to the board.. they tend to come loose. The solder sucker thing that was posted is good to do.. makes putting the resistors in easier. This might sound weird but.. everyone should try it. If you want your solder sucker to really work great.. a little "mod" for it. take it apart and spray a little armoral or STP.. inside it. makes it real slick.. and when you click the button.. it really goes..!!!
