I know that my homemade DOD 250 was about a third of the price. And my Cry Baby was about half price to make. But my Phaser was only a little less than if I'd bought it in the store. I've also priced parts for a homemade Gibson SG, and it's going to cost me about 20% of the retail price (and that's using Honduras Mahogany for the body & neck, & an Ebony Fret Board -- saving some cash on the pickups... have an old DeMargio Humbucking & another one that came of a freinds old Les Paul). --- Just love building things.
