Gil Ayan	Clapton and Knopler Amps Not Stock In this thread, someone mentioned that there must be something great about these amps so that Clapton and Knopler bought them. I think the SLO 100 is a great sounding amp, but according to Mike Soldano, what you get when you buy one stock is not what Clapton and Konpler played. A long time ago, there was a clinic at West L.A. Music, where Soldano introduced the Yamaha "T" series amps (1993 I believe). Of course, some people asked questions about the "real" Soldanos, and, if I recall correctly, Soldano said that the amps made for the British guys (including Gary Moore, I would suspect) were all highly customized and would probably cost something like $20K is sold to a real mortal. A quick call to Soldano should be able to clear this up if anyone is interested... I may remember the price incorrectly, but I clearly heard that none of those fabled amps were stock. Gil
