three dovetails on the piece of wood you described is not optimal....I am a professional self-employed cabinetmaker and musician and I say you were ripped....$125 to do what you pictured is however,what you agreed to and unfortunately you didn't specify the spread....he no doubt cut the three using mostly his bandsaw or scrollsaw with just perhaps a tiny bit of adjustment with a hand chisel....I make antique reproductions of the highest order which includes carvings and HANDCUT, not machine cut dovetails on all drawers and etc...for 125 you should have gotten 1 set per inch for the width of the board....are these dovetails going to show on the exterior of the cabinet? if so you must ask him to do them again the right way although you'll probably have to supply more wood..if not then you'll have to lick your wounds and learn a lesson .....be VERY specific when giving plans to woodworkers draw a picture of what you have in mind if possible
