Re: SUMMIT TRANNY SPAM
Hey Guys,

Thanks so much for your comments, it is really appreciated. I knew I could count on the Ampage crowd.

Carl - I would love to check out your killer deals, but you didn't list a website address. This is an obvious sign of a benign spammer, so you are absolved of any wrongdoing! Your posts on this site really add to the experience, so thanks.

I have also successfully used New Sensor transformer products for many of my projects, and I am reasonably certain that the Twin Reverb power transformer will work for me. Of course, supporting a fellow Ampager is always the best way to go, so I would like to try one of Carl's transformers. I just need to know how to buy one.

BTW, Ted told me that his 5F8 chassis is based on an actual old Fender 5F8 chassis. My dream would be to have a transformer to fit the original 5F8 cutout that would support 5V @ 3A heaters, a 250-0-250 @ 250mA high voltage section, and 6.3V @ 6A heater section. This would allow for using EL84 tubes with a rectifier. If anyone has info on something like this (even custom), I would appreciate it. It looks like I may have to use 6L6 tubes without a rectifier, but that won't be too bad.

In all honesty, all responses are very much appreciated. Thank-you for supporting my incurable habit.

Thanks again guys,

Reverb
