Help, Deluxe Reverb power tube problem

Carl	Help, Deluxe Reverb power tube problem Requesting your help, I have an early 70's Deluxe Reverb running a 5AR4 and 6V6's. Loaned it to a friend who ran it at 6 on 2 gigs. One of the 6V6's got too hot (burned tube logo). I'm in the process of re-tubing the amp and have noticed a cracked carbon screen resistor over the power tube socket next to the 12AT7 phase inverter. Could a bad 6V6 cause this or perhaps something else? I don't want to ruin another set of 6V6's to find out. Thanks! -- Carl
