Daver	Re: 220uf vs 60uf on 1st filter Pete, If you have a tube rectifier (most likely a 5AR4/GZ34), you shouldn't go above 60uf for the first filter. The data sheets for this tube specify this. I believe it's because the bigger the cap is, the more it looks like a short to ground to the rectifier when you turn on the amp do to the time needed to charge the cap. If I'm completely wrong about the reason, the smarter guys will come to the rescue . Daver
