| Glen H. | Marshall JCM800 model 2210 Distortion source? I am currently trying out a Marshall 2210 100W channel-switching head. It is very powerful, but more buzzy & industrial sounding than my 2204 50W master vol. head. It sounds like diodes clipping. Maybe someone can help me here. Are diodes used for distortion in this series of amp? I can buy this head for about $450 US ( a good price) and it is in remarkable condition, but the distortion just seems "off" from my other Marshall. My 2204's sound is more natural - like a tube amp should be, it sings in comparison. Regards, Glen |
