dale	Re: JJ/Tesla E34l's if you can find the LS model, they are a better sounding tube. normally i'd say it's too subjective to just blurt out that one is better than the other. but in this case i feel justified because i've used both and they sound very much the same evcept the JJ's sound like a worn out set of LS. same type of sound, but muddier and less rich and punchy. put it this way, i've been using LS for about 6 years, and when i couldn't find a set i tried the jj's and the difference had me dissapointed enough to search till i found some more LS. don't be fooled by the GT 34LS. it's simply the jj tube. GT used to carry the LS but when they ran out they began selling the jj and calling it the LS. i guess they feel justified because it comes from the same factory, tho the LS was made when tesla owned the factory. you can tell the difference between the 2 by the fact that the LS has dual getters while the jj only has one. the getter is that thing at the top of the tube that looks like a halo on a stick. i assure you that if you can find these dual getter tesla tubes you'll like them a lot more than the jj's. but you'll have to search. and if you find them, don't buy them sight unseen untill you verify that they DO have dual getters. if it's a tesla, and has that, it's the LS. dale
