| Ryan | Fender AND Marshall Tone Stacks? Anyone ever tried doing this? For a medium-high gain amp, seems like it could do wonders in shaping the distortion... you'd have pre and post gain tone controls! I'm thinking it would be pretty simplistic in just creating a standard Fender style input and tonestack (2 triode) then bypassing the input stage and feeding the signal directly into the 2nd gain stage of a JMP/JCM 800/Soldano (if you like) circut. You could even have an LDR at the MV of the Marshall tonestack and at the junction of the fender to marshall preamp... fix it up so you could have a true Fender clean chan and a Fender / Marshall dirty chan. Whatcha think? -Ryan |
