Horns are loud and eat up valuable real estate in the frequency where the guitar likes to fit in. Plus they're always playing harmonies, making it more rich and complex and leaving less space for me. I started 3 years ago with a 30 watt 1x12 and finally settled with a 100 watt head and a marshall 412. Now I can finally hear myself (although I do wear earplugs)... mike
