I also have a 66 twin reverb that Ive had for many years, but to my ears this tweed model just kills it. I traded a 53 Deluxe for the twin, so aquiring the 59 did hurt a little( OK alot). My reasoning is, I can use the twin on gigs, ( I owned the deluxe for more than 20 years, but only used it to record lap steel)so I think I'll get more enjoyment with the 59. I know alot of the guys on this forum are really into the distorted qualites of tube amps, but tubes also rule for warm fat clean tones. PS any sugestions for a reverb unit to go with the Twin? Mike
