Benefits to floating my DC heaters?

Ryan	Benefits to floating my DC heaters? Just wondering, is there any reason to continue floating my DC heaters? My heater winding is center tapped and it would be a heck of a lot easier if I just used a half wave rectifier and had the floating negative side tied to ground (I also feed my channel switching circut off this supply). So, are there any major noise or other benefits to continue this practice of floating my DC supply? Thanks, ...Ryan
