| Gord | Re: Marshall JCM 2000 Triple Super Lead, should I?? Hi, I can ditto the above. I was always into modern type amps, because I thought they could do everything. Gerald Weber calls these 'Swiss Army Knife' amps. The sheer power and balls that comes out of a Plexi cannot be matched, and in side by side comparisons, clean or dirty, it blows away any multi channel amp. My first time trying one was a tone revelation, and I couldn't believe what I was missing! I still think that bassmans are even better, (or, Plexi with 6L6s). Then again, to each his own. I'm certainly no authority. Do you have any Traynor amps in Sweden? They are virtual Plexis, every bit as good, and cheap, cheap, cheap. Maybe you could get an older Traynor YBA-1 Bassmaster from Ebay at a reasonable price. Check out the Harmony-Central reviews. Gord. |
