Ron	Re: Vox AC30 top boost preamp with black tolex driver? My first amp that I built was a Vox AC30 TB   Preamp and phase splitter going into a Fender   Deluxe output. 2X6V6. Sounds great.   Drive levels are probabily off but it sounds great.   It does not sound like a AC30.   What are sound are you trying to get?
