my 2cents :  
 
try a Marshall Jub. model ( also Slash-signature ) .  
 
The pre-amp uses 2 12AX7s and diode-clipping . I think it's a nice sounding tube/diode-design .  
 
The schematic is on the internet , 2254 model (?) . also in a 50Watt-version .
