Gas regulator (OC3) in guitar amps?

| Dominik | Gas regulator (OC3) in guitar amps? My two Leslies both have a gas regulator for the screen-grid-voltage of the 6550s and for the anode voltage of the PI (12AU7A). If I am correct, those regulators allow only a set amount of current to flow thru it. Is there any real advantage for that?? Has anyone seen a guitar amp with such a regulator?? Curious, Dominik |
