The feedback loop will go through a resistor divider with the top half being the RC combination you mentioned... The RC is put together to stop HF oscillations ( called slugging the dominant pole). It may be better and cooler to replace the lower leg of the resistive divider. My guess would be that the lower leg is 1K.... Just replace that with a potentiometer with a value of 1K. The size of resistor is really variable, and now you can make the ratio variable too! Yehaaa!
The benifit to doing it this way is the RC freq. is the same. later- eth
