Most musicians know the class-A, EL84 tone from the legendary Vox AC-30- sweet sustain, big three dimentional tone with decent compression and controllable distortion. The tone bones saturation distortion has great sustain, big fat tone, and the best possible dynamic response. The tone bone is available in pentode or triode versions. (Low tension models- plate voltages of less that 430 volts only. Recommended for Deluxe, Princeton, etc. High tention models graet with Twin Reverb, Showman, Bassman, etc.)" The preceding is directly quoted from the Ruby catalog. The price has been lowered to $75.00 retail each according to the new catalog. I would not want to reccomend one model over the other because it is strictly a matter of choice. I would not want to reccomend one model over the other because it is strictly a matter of choice.
