I've found them t9 be a closer match to the ever-becoming more rare 12ay7 (esp. since most of the ay7's i've seen over the last year or so were way microphonic... making it unusable in a tweed input stage). I kinda like the tube, and when you can get them for $2 a piece.... very attractive ;)
