Bassman with no bass?

Keith | Bassman with no bass? Well, I shouldn't say 'no bass'. What I mean is, when I peg the normal channel bass control to 9 and above the bass totally cuts out. Is this normal or what might cause this? This is a '67 AB165 version modded to AB864 specs per Andy Ruhl's mod. Also what should the bias be set at and how can I check it using just a Fluke meter?
