| dale | Re: Serial/parallel effect loop just to emphisize the importance of a certain point made earlier, i want to mention that when considering what effects to use with a paralell loop you should pay close attention to the effects ability to deliver wet signal ONLY. some pedals don't allow this. but is the signal going thru your paralell loop has any direct or "dry" signal in it, then every time you turn the effects up or down either with the loop's mix knob or from the effect itself, you'll also be altering the amp's overall volume. this is because you'll be adding more or less dry signal along with the wey effect itself. not only that, but you'll be adding "impue" direct signal. whhat i mean by that is that the whole reason for a parallel loop is to avoid the dry portion of the signal from being tainted by the affect of going thru a processor of pedal. so when picking an effect to use in a paralell loop, make sure to pick ones that have the ability to deliver 100% wet signal. you can also use the stereo output of a pedal that is wet only out. dale |
