| andyfuchs | Re: Shielded input cable question I agree with Gil, coax on low level inputs is a good idea. In a Fender type amp, a simple length of high grade coax, with the ground attached at the input jack only, works wonders to reduce extraneous noise. An alternative to the navy coax is a high grade foil type like Belden 8451. This is easy to work with and has two conductors, which is nice for some circuit locations. I like to heat it up a bit after installation to "dress" it, and it stays put when it cools off. |
