Class AB PP Biasing
I posted a thread on this subject here a week ago, i though the info would still be here, but alas things move fast around here. schools out for the summer now, so its time to get down to whats really important...

i am a realtively new amp builder, and i wanted to make sure im biasing my DIY marshall 50W plexiclone correctly. i am using marshall trannies and choke(as supplied by doug hoffmann) and the amp is built basically to original specs. i am biasing the thing to 35ma. Is this a good number? the manual from doug hoffmann says 30-40ma's is a good range, but i just wanted to make sure.

this stems from the fact my amp does not sound exactly as i intend when i crank it to 8 9 or 10. the amp puts out way too much high end, and there are some downright unpleasant higher frequency sounds. the distortion is not very tight at all. maybe this is due to something else. the thing sounds just dandy at low volumes, so no complaints here...thanks
