I played with the amp some tonight and lowered the current to 23 ma and the amp actually sounds pretty decent that way. I wasn't able to crank it but it was loud enough to hear that it sounded fine for what it is. I'm getting right at 480 volts at the plates and about 6 volts less at the screen grid with the resistor. Forgot to check the screen grids that don't have the resistor. I'm kinda pooped out tonight. I'm always reading cautions about have a sufficient value screen grid resistor on the power tubes but guess there's an exception to every rule. I'll check it out again sometime tomorrow.
