To me el34's sound better.But dont just hit the switch and put the tubes in you still need to check the bias for the best tone (the switch gets it in the ballpark).

ps. check out how off it is when you hit the bold/spungy sw.I think this amp would sound better with out all the extra crap, oooooooo but that would be a SOLDANO.
