The transformers used were good quality.The EIA code is 682,I can't remember the manufacturer.With high gain amps I prefer to bias EL34's in the 25-30 mA range,minimal tone difference from the usual 34-36mA favored by many,plus longer tube life.They originally shipped these amps with GE 6550's,but later changed to Sovtek EL 34G's.Try Svetlana EL34's for improved tone.
