dale	Re: Celestion Vintage 30's i used them in the mid 80's when they 1st came out and really liked them. however, today i can't stand them. i don't know if it's because i use a more traditional tone now instead of the typical 80's boogie tone, or if they're making them differently. but i find the low end to sound farty and loose, and they just break up too much. however, and it a big however, i'm talking open back combos. in a cab they may sound great, but for a combo or open back cab i would highly NOT recommend them. i much prefer high powered speakers for open back rigs. just my opinion tho. but as one guy said, a lot of people love them, but not everyone. so don't go by others opinions without trying them if you can. SRV used EV's in his amps and got killer tone, yet most players hate them. dale
