| KS | Old Spring Reverb Transducers/Info,help needed Hello All I have an old Danelectro stand alone reverb unit. It is all tube with a cheap spring in a masonite tank. I have traced the problem to the transducer(?) This appears to be a coil wrapped in a masking tape type tape, with 2 leads coming from it. This package slips between the coiled end of the spring at each end of the spring. It appears this transducer is open. Does anyone know where to get , buy or how to build , reproduce one of these components. I have asked this in other forums but have never received any breakthrough info on this component. I don't want to put in a newer modern tank , such as an accutronics. This is an old cheesy unit that I want to restore to working condition. Actually I have 2 of them both not functioning due to this problem. Everything else in the unit works and i even cascaded the pre tube into the Post tube for some nice tube distortion. I also have an old Danelectro amp that I am restoring as well, but the reverb was missing on that amp. They are chaep , cheesy ones but i would like to fix them up if possible. Any info , especially on rolling your own will be greatly appreciated. Thanks KS |
