Eric,

The best DIY re-cover I've seen was done by a guy that sold me a '63 Bandmaster that he had re-done. He uses regular old yellow carpenter's glue,
like Titebond. The nice thing about it is it gets
really hard when dry, giving the vinyl that "hard"
feel you see on factory amps, that contact cement can't quite get.

Those were the tightest looking corners I've seen,
comparable to factory. I've since tried it on a home-brew rig and it worked well, you just have to be sure to get the glue off before it dries, cuz it's a bitch if you don't. I double cut the corners and taped them tightly with duct tape until dry. Came out pretty well, but not as good as the Bandmaster guy's. Must be an aquired skill.

Best regards, Steve F
