I did not notice a difference in gain levels, and when the vol control was all the way down, I could hear the signal slightly (!) I put a meter on it and it didn't read 1M until about a quarter turn, but it was already loud and distorted at that setting. this does not make sense to me. at 1M you shouldn't hear it right? I tried putting the resistor behind the pot and it was pretty much the same story. do you think putting it between the ground lug and ground would do any different? what going on here? Ricky
