| MBSetzer | Re: Vibro Champ Questions Hi Joe: Some of the SF Champs had a 3-section can with 40, 20, & 20 MF, the triangle, semicircle, & square symbols are supposed to have a chart on the cap label showing what section has what capacity versus the outer can itself which is the ground. Other SF Champs had a 4-section of identical 20MF sections and simply used a small jumper between two of the adjacent terminals to make a parallel 40MF capacity for the first filter stage. The original equipment cap is rated for 85 degrees Celsius, be careful since the new cans are more likely made in only a 55 degree Celsius rating, which was not enough to keep one of them from oozing electrolyte in one of my beefed up amps during stress testing under simulated outdoor Texas summer conditions. Be Careful! Mike |
