| Ray Ivers | Re: Vibro Champ Questions Joe, Lots of good info in the replies on this thread! About the Tolex thing - I just use small amounts of cyanoacrylate (Krazy) glue for small tears and flaps. My favorite type is Permatex Quick Gel adhesive - I would think you could get it from Grainger or Newark Electronics. I've recently bought some other stuff (can't remember the name -small, translucent-clear bottle with a very tall, flattened conical cap - I can easily find out the name for you if you want it) that also worked very well. Stewart-MacDonald also used to sell a whole smorgasbord of cyanoacrylate glues with varying drying times, and drying-time accelerators, solvents, etc. I would not recommend anything labeled 'Krazy Glue'. I've found it takes WAY too long to dry, and to not be all that strong once dry. There are also purpose-made Tolex adhesives which work well for larger areas. There are also guys who make their living recovering amps, and earn every penny they make - recovering an amp's a bitch! Ray Ivers R.A.G.E. Electronics |
