The Marshall is fine by itself. When you use it with other amps you'll notice a phase issue, and more importantly, when you run it at the same time with other amps.  
 
Again, If you like the tone the way it is then don't sweat it!!! (ha, ha) I'm not saying that you can't play this way. If it sounds good to your ears then that's all that really counts.
