I've read alot of knocks about them--but I'm pretty happy. I don't know if I would buy them again just to try something else if they died. A buddy of mine that plays out with a BLKface Twin alot runs a pair of the 100W Celestions and loves them. As I recall reading they don't color the tone as much as other Celestions. fwiw bw
