BUT to be honest, I havent played with THAT many cathode biased P-P amps w/tube recto Most of the cathode biased amps I've played were single ended... however the cathode biasing will give a bit of sag of it's own type... more of a compression. Maybe someone with a bit more experience on this like Randall, Trace, or Carl would like to jump in here ALSO. what type of 5y3 are you using, for some tend to be really spongy, but the Sovtek 5y3's tend to be a bit stiff.... let me know!
