Marshall DSL 50/100 preamps

Shon | Marshall DSL 50/100 preamps I am in the market for a good preamp to overdrive my 1987x head, and was wondering if there is any difference in the sound of a 50 watt and 100 watt preamp of the same model if I am only going to use the preamp out of the head. I would think that the preamp tube heater voltages, plate currents etc. would be different given a larger or different power transformer ? Thanks. |
