Andrew | Re: Fender brownface tonestack... Hi Greg, Thanks for the words'o'wisdom. Actually, you might be familiar with the amp I'm using as a donor here - A Jansen six-35 Bassman. The tonestack looks exactly like the Fender one. The rest of the amp is in pretty sad shape, but lots of salvagable bits in there. Basically I need quite a range of sounds, but I'm really liking the sound of my would-be-Deluxe Reverb (take a look: http://homepages.tig.com.au/~mcwhirt/andrew/images/amp.jpg This amp started as a bare chassis and a cardboard box full of bits....) but it's just not quite enough clean headroom for some songs.
