Daver	Re: Cold Boogie Bias Gil, The Mark III I'm about to do this weekend is also a simulclass. I'll be using Svetlanas for the power tubes. They seem to draw more current than do others I've used. That worked out to my advantage when I used them in the Mark IV I retubed a couple years ago. I paralleled a resistor with the bias set resistor (I could be wrong, it's been awhile) to get the 6L6's at around 35ma @ 445VDC and the EL-34's then idled at about 25ma. Not perfect, but much better! The third amp I retubed was a 50/50 power amp. Again, stock it was at about 11ma @ 450VDC stock. Just installing the Svets put it at 27ma. Thanks for the insight! Daver
