Bias supply rise time

Ron | Bias supply rise time Can someone please explain to me why the bias supply voltage in my amp takes about 45 seconds to climb up to a steady level? My supply is configured as follows: off one side of PT (300 Vac NL), to a 180K resistor, 1N4007 diode, 100uF cap and then resistor divider network, 15K and 25K pot to ground. Steady state voltage is 45Vdc at the diode cap junction. The B+ voltage is there right away. Is this normal? |
