Where the AC30 is concerned, increasing the filter capacitance beyond the original values tends to detract from the sound of the amp. It is common knowledge that modding the Korg/Marshall repro units by reverting to the original filter capacitance, coupled with installation of a good set of tubes, is the quickest means of making these nice amps sound convincingly original and fabulous. |
