I've seen him live and tape of his live show. I hate to say it but His OCD or whatever it is gets in the way of his playing. He missed runs in his own songs that werent that difficult while playing some of the harder runs flawlessly. I was actually close enough when I saw him live that I could see his face and he looked very stressed while playing. BTW as a testament to his ears, at the end of one song, he steps up to the mike and apologizes for one of his amps blowing up. I never heard it! He musta been running pairs 'cause the music never stopped! Like I said, Let me blind test him and we'll see just how much of this crap is in his head. PS I do feel sorry for him though. What a demanding mistress to take something you love and turn it into so much work and frustration.
