Everyone has their own favourite circuits. Most people 'choose not to acknowledge or respond to' my own forays into hybrid tube/op-amp/high-voltage MOSFET design. It's whatever swangs your thang
I personally wouldn't bother using either FET cascode circuit. You've gone to all the trouble of laying on B+ and heater supplies for tubes, so why bother replacing them with JFETs? FWIW, there's really not much audible difference in performance between any cascode, any pentode, and two common-cathode triode stages in series. And they all use one tube socket.
