| Steve A. | Re: how do you draw the schematics? Mike: I am using Corel Draw 7.0 then exporting it as a GIF or PDF file, neither one looks quite as good as the original CDR file... It looks like Corel Draw is still screwing up the fonts when you export the drawings... (I had those problems with versions 1.2, 2.0 and 3.0 before just giving up on it.) You might check to see which fonts you are using for your CDR files. Corel Draw always came with a whole sh*tload of fonts that looked cool in the program, but would get screwed up when you'd try to export the drawing. Because of that bad experience I generally try to stick with the real basic fonts included with Windows, along with some variations of them (like Arial Narrow and Arial Black). While your drawings probably look great when viewed or printed out from Corel Draw, most of the text is exported as plain old monospaced Courier. If you don't have the retail version of Adobe Acrobat I have an article on my site about using GhostScript and GhostView to generate PDF and BMP files from practically any Windows program. There is a package of fonts included with GS that you install in Windows so "what you see is what you get"... Other than that your drawings look great! (I just wish that we could see them as you do...) --Thanks! Steve Ahola Main site: http://www.ampage.org/blueguitar/ Mirror site: http://io.spaceports.com/~bluguitr/ |
