Most of the free weekly alternative press papers have websites with their want ads, for example the Austin Chronicle or Phoenix New Times. Great places to shop for used gear, usually, as the readership tends to include working musicians. Find a few from cities within a day's drive and keep your eyes open for the right gear at the right price.
